Our Objectives

Royal Schiphol Group (RSG) is an airport company with an important socio-economic task. We own and operate Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Rotterdam The Hague Airport and Lelystad Airport, and hold a majority stake in Eindhoven Airport. ‍The very nature of the aviation industry requires us to constantly evolve and tackle new logistical and transformational challenges, and Royal Schiphol Group is used to dealing with radical operational changes. By doing so, RSG has evolved into an agile, resilient and robust organisation, gaining a well-earned reputation for developing innovative solutions over the years.

The Innovation Hub

At Schiphol, we are innovators. The centralized Innovation Hub’s role is to accelerate change by spearheading innovation, while still making sure that we are in line with the overall positioning and vision of the Schiphol group. While we do celebrate our successes, we are not afraid to recognize failures: we pivot or reassess priorities when the situation calls for it. Explorative innovation is characterized by high degrees of uncertainty, and sometimes innovations just don’t fly. We continuously iterate on various innovations over the entire scope of the aviation sector and their relevancy on a timescale.
